Raised in Seoul, South Korea, Jaehyuk Choi first developed a strong interest in photography in his teenage. During this time, he finds a real appreciation of minimalism in photography. "If the painting is about adding stuff in the canvas, photography is about subtracting stuff in the frame." is the line that inspired him and sparked a greater interest in minimalism. Upon high school graduation, he moved to Toronto, Canada, to pursue his college education in photography but ended up studying Media Communications at Humber College, which covers not only photography but also graphic design, web design, and media writing. From there, he finds his true passion for UX design, the ultimate combination of every skill he learned from photography and minimalism philosophy. After the completion of the Media Communications studies, he is planning to apply for the Bachelor of Design business in fall 2021 in order to dive deeper into the field of UX design.
